Aeon Concept
By Vlad Icobet | Jan 22nd, 2010 | Tags: renault, Romania, Vlad IcobetAbout the concept:
features new and expressive stylistic values derived from modern architectural structures blended with natures organic shapes. Designed for the future, the concept mixes state-of-the art technology and materials to deliver optimum quality and performance at the same time. Overall medium in size, the two seater vehicle is dedicated for high-speeds, having a “teardrop” aerodynamic shape. The four big wheels emphasize vehicles stability on road and the large day light openings refer to clearness and openess of the interior space. Nano photovoltaic cells placed into the curved polycarbonate surface make possible the additional battery recharge. The bone shaped structure assures key pivot points for the wheels and also important reinforced impact zones.
About Vlad Icobet:
I’ve just graduated Industrial Design at the University of Fine Arts and Design in Bucharest, Romania and i’m heading to Transportation Design school somewhere in Europe in the future. My work includes various things from product design like chairs, packages, luxury concepts to ultra-futuristic automotive concepts. I also like to sketch concept arts of environments, characters and sci-fi designs in my spare time. I consider continous practicing the best method of mastering skills and keeping “in-shape”. Contests are a form of quick ideation and good method of self-teaching from my opinion. I also like 3d stuff such as VFX and hyper-real renderings since i got my hands on 3d programs 5 years ago.

Great concept. I really like the teardrop aerodynamic idea . Although being medium in size , it looks very spacious.
