Audi S Avant

About the concept

The S Avant is an entirely new concept created to satisfy dynamic performance and emotional appeal, but also the comfort and utility of an everyday luxury wagon. As the demographic for premium segment luxury cars expands, younger and more active buyers are demanding more than the current products available to them. The conservative nature of Audi products, though a successful formula in Europe, may not be in the North American market. The S Avant is the answer to the need for a more extroverted vehicle personality. The ability to fuse both practical utility and extravagance into one vehicle is unique to the S Avant. The sporty, expressive design statement says the consumer is unyielding to compromise; the dynamic performance, on par with world class sports cars, is ecologically responsible. The S Avant is a refreshingly extroverted personality in a sea of introverted, mundane stationwagons.

“Crisp Angles”- about Jon

Raised in Northern California and having recently graduated from the Academy of Art University, I have just completed 18 months of internship at Audi’s Design Center California and Volkswagen’s Design Center Potsdam, Germany studios. Currently, I am awaiting a series of interviews with different OEMs in Paris, Tokyo, Wolfsburg, LA, and Gothenburg.

  1. Very very good !

  2. I like the overall design, especially the rear end design, the cut is very distinctive while maintaining a look that could easily apply to a production vehicle. The front end seems to stretch out a bit too far and doesn’t integrate as well as it could into the main body of the vehicle.
