From one big-headed bald man to another,
Brad, it is tattooed up pricks like yourself that give Art Center’s boring reputation a reality. You can’t design a good looking car to save your life. Your Buggatti is really innovative –right? You can help the situation out too, what’s stopping you? You just like to whine about everything and pass the blame. Its Stewart’s fault right? Boring students make boring work. You aren’t exactly an entertaining guy. It explains why you are taking so long to graduate.

To Paul the Bald Laser Lab T.A…. Why are you trolling Car design sites at 1:36am? Did the kiddie porn site go down? Chechnyan Stripper Live Web Cam lose its feed or something?
You took 1 Art Center at Nite class and what?… that makes you Jason Castriota now? Why don’t you post a review on everyone’s design and let us all know how our designs SHOULD be, clearly we don’t know what we are doing.
Just because you were on “To Catch a Predator,” doesn’t make you famous enough to make these types of comments.
p.s. You spelled Bugatti wrong!
This was extremely unprofessional of you… you should be more aware of your future postings.
Listen Brad–I took 2 Nite classes and that apparently did me more good than 7 terms did for you. If you haven’t already noticed, I stay late up at school and critique peoples work and in particular yours.
There was nothing wrong with my feeds. I finished what I set up to do. I was never on “to catch a predator” but I was once featured on an episode of Cops.
My earlier post still stands. Art Center isn’t innovative because of pricks like you. You have questionable taste in design and tattoos.
Paul the bald model shop guy,
Just because your girlfriend is a “MASTER OF CAR DESIGN”, doesn’t mean you know anything about the subject. Stick to what you know, gargoyles and wizards.
Excessive comments about my tattoos lead me to believe that you are spending way too much time staring at my body. I’m getting a restraining order.
Lets just say there is nothing subtle about your tattoos that would require anything more than a glance let alone a stare.
I don’t play around with gargoyles or wizards, but I am known as a Grand Wizard.
You have yet to respond about your design, which leads me to believe you have no excuse or significant knowledge about design to comment about design other than to say the school you go to dropped the ball on your education. You’ve responded back only twice and spoke volumes about your character. Don’t blame the school—You’re the one responsible.
I think this is best taken care of in person. Stop by the laser lab and I’ll school you.
I’ll be there, bring your copics. It’s on…
Great ideas!! the white honda is best, verry nice idea.
Idiots that argue… aparently you know each other so go fight in a street or something, dont waste time here.
The school doesnt matter, the student makes the difrence ;)
Paul, Brad,
You are both fired. And i am keeping all your models as doorstops and paper weights.
AHAHAHAHA to Paul and Brad
lol x10
can’t wait to get down there and see you two fight in person ;D
as to the work presented.. some interesting stuff, but my jaw isn’t dropping over more than 35% of the stuff which makes me question the school. Personally i think i should be amazed by at least 75% of the work presented at a winter show by such a school….
..just my thoughts..
님좀 짱인듯 :D
gigi_ro,
lern howe to spel befur you tipe.
You need many more years as a student.
Hey Dick,
Ching chong ching chong ching –right? Go steal a design and drag your feet in the halls.
Okay guys let’s get back to work! I want to see hot sketches on the wall.
mmmmmmmBrad, listen man, you peaked after taking my class. Simple.
Jabba
When you took my class I didn’t know you were fluent in Chinese. You’re really talented—I need someone to do sketch help. Do you want to do it since you speak Chinese?
.
Jabba,
I took offense to your comment… we don’t drag our feet in the halls.
gigi_ro,
Hey watch it now… you might be taking my job –you’re clever. Brad &
Paul know each other? Get out of here, seriously.
I went to Art Center for 7 straight terms and I can tell you this school SUCKS like no other.
-They occasionally turn off the AC in the Summer.
-There is no dedicated classroom for projects
-The school is heavily overcrowded with low-level students that can’t speak English
-It used to be an elite school, now everyone can get in who has the right money.
-Experienced teachers leave, are replaced by young guys with NO teaching experience.
-Underpaid positions are filled with who ever wants it, and thus we have little guys like Paul the baldie sitting in the laser lab, who has to post ads on message boards because of his ‘little problem’
—-THE SCHOOL SUCKS, go to Pforzheim, RCA, CCS instead….
…So here you go, you have it from one more insider.
art center students have no talent anyway. who cares if brad cant make a decent car, he’s paying my paycheck. the fact is that paul is a loser and brad - well, good luck getting a job. if you were smart you would take my at night class to improve your skills. your a fool if you think your ready to graduate.
i must say, paul, yet being a prick and unsuccessful, still has a point.
whoa whoa whoa. yall are taking this a bit far. I didn’t know so much could be made of me complimenting the work of the Pforzheim students. I think Art Center is a great school with some talented kids. I just think pf has to be considered if you’re applying to design schools. wow you guys get heated on these message boards.
note to self, less time on message boards and more time learning to design a good looking car, since i apparently cant do that. i better get to work if i gotta compete with these guys and gals.
oh and why doesn’t anybody post their real names, interesting
What do you mean Brad? We are all using our real names.
-John
brad, if you were smart you would keep your mouth shut. I told you and everyone, you know, theres not to many jobs out there. Pasifica just closed and… Its tough. You have to ask your-,, brad, do you still want to do this? Only one or maybe two people are gonna get picked up for jobs and you really gotta want it. People talk greg, choose your words wisely. Don’t hammer your sketches either.
I have been working at art center for 38 terms and I’ve seen numerous students come and go. I can honestly say brad arnold is talentless.
Brad has made a name for himself at art center and he has yet to graduate. The industry is very small–these series of postings is a testament to the size of the community.
To Jae:
jabba accused you people of stealing designs and all you’re offended to is dragging your feet in the halls?
To Alex:
You’re English sounds broken. Stop coming to US to get educated then complain about the education you receive. Eurotrash
Cut the crap Brad. We know this is you trying to receive sympathy from us, students. We all know you can out-sketch the bald model shop guy. He’s just a pathetic loser that lives in a hole. Personally, I don’t know why anyone would call themselves the bald model shop guy anyway. Seems fishy but legit.
Jabba - we all know asians steal designs and talk in a prehistoric language but, I do think they walk well.
In the end, Brad Arnold still sucks. No denying that.
This argument was brought to my attention yesterday and I must ask you to bicker elsewhere. If this argument gets around, it could affect my ability to recruit students…
… I want yo’ money bitches!
I think Brad Arnold is the one who posted as “Art Center Students.” That is pretty lame guys.
gigi_ro,
Once again you’re hot on the trail. You’re sharp!
You must be a horrible student. You need the best school you can find. Are there any colleges in Korea that accepts retards?
I AM OFFENDED!!!
to sherlock… you seem to be the type that would hate koreans. we only share work to help each other out… you know, the time when you need 30 pages by 8am and you only have 5? hater
to brad… you really should keep your big fücking mouth shut.,. if you type in ‘brad arnold art center’ into google,, it says your talentless of 38 terms. pretty fly for a white guy’//
brad arnold is my hero….
To eastwood:
If you were smart, you would shut your mouth. You’re less talented than Brad Arnold and 99.997% of the student body at Art Center (there’s always some retard). I seriously question how you got accepted into Art Center, complete Art Center’s curriculum successfully, get a job in the industry, and finally get an instructor’s aid position at Art Center besides me. I would bite my mouth each and every night I had to work with you, I’m glad you no longer assist me. You are in large part why Art Center students are ill prepared.
Brad:
I walked into the senior room the other night and saw your work. You’re still hammering your sketches.
In general:
I had a smart @ss of a student ask me if I posted on this website. Of course I do! Do you think I’m dumb enough to spell my name correctly? Last thing I want is a google search saying I’m talentless like Brad. Think about it.
Someone here at the studio mentioned to me that your 8th term project looks a lot like you’re second term project. Bumsuk was right; you really have peaked after second term.

Flame on.
I think it’s great that you guys are now on a new server. There were many developments in this saga that weren’t documented as a result I’m sure.
As a reader, I don’t find this tread to be a “flame war”. Each side has presented their case and as a result we the readers have come to our independent conclusions:
Regarding Brad:
Brad Arnold is tasteless and talentless with a like for questionable tattoos. Also posts as “Art Center Students” as a guise.
gigi_ro:
Can’t spell or be bothered to run her post through spell check.
Velasco:
is probably the smartest here spelling his name in correctly in an effort to not be associated with Brad directly
Dick:
isn’t even communicating in the same language
with Jabba:
being an endearing character who adds value to other commentary.
Jabba??? Jabba from Art Center? As in the slimy piece of worm ridden filth that works behind the window in the accounting office?
-Look Jabba, I was just on my way to pay you back and I got a little sidetracked… It’s not my fault. I’ll pay you triple, you’re throwing away a fortune here, don’t be a fool!
Great Post Hans! JABBA SUCKS!
She lost my tuition in one of her folds.
Actually Sherlock, I was referring to the Jabba who made the astute comment about Asians dragging their feet in the halls, though I am aware of the creature that resides in the cashier’s office at Art Center.
I was just recently visiting art center and talked to brad about this thread. He said, and I quote “their’s a skinny, white trash, bisexual taking credit for all these posts.” (never told me a name) Let me just say that this is genius, but there is no way one guy doing this. You can tell from each comment that its a different person writing these. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life. This is the funniest thread on the internet by far.
And like velasco said, I’m not gonna be an idiot by putting my name on here. haha
conceptsalad bookmarked!
Personally I don’t like to talk about sexuality. I don’t think its right.
However, there is only one student who I can think about in the transportation program who is gay, white, and skinny. His work is decent which makes these posts more surprising. Perhaps he had a thing for Brad and Brad said no, or maybe later—I don’t know, these days it seems like everything goes. What I do know is that these posts have gone a little far.
Brad doesn’t need anyone’s help to fail. He can do that with is personality and lack of design sophistication.
after reading all of these comments, I’m very stressed and confused… lol im tring to decide whether to go to art center or ccs, or even pforzheim. i did have my heart set on art center but after reading this, idk. i, myself am extremely perfessional yet modest about my work. i could get in if i wanted but i dont want to work with these people./ ei. brad with tattoos, koreans, jabba, and some bisexual who talks shit. again, i want to work in a professional environment and from what im hearing/reading, it doesnt seem that way at all.
*short story
i met some guy at art center durning the senior show last term and was very surprised. i swear this guy was a professional ass kisser. he talked as if he knew everything, asked me what kind of watch i have(gay) and who i worked for. total tosser. i think his name was sherrif or sherif. dont talk to this guy!!
im in my early fourties so this decision is important to me.

Great Post Hans! JABBA SUCKS!
She lost my tuition in one of her folds.
IT SHOULDN’T TAKE SHERLOCK HOLMES TO FIGURE OUT WHERE SHE HID THE MONEY.
Brad, if I were you, I would worry. The reality is not everyone can be a car designer. You’ve taken 8 terms at Art Center and have yet to develop a language and taste in automotive design. I was sincerely hoping you would prove me wrong and produce a good-looking automobile. You promised you would spend more time designing.
Trans design starts with proportion, you failed miserably with your senior thesis. Your car is overly narrow. The only thing you can do now is bite your lip and hope for the best. Velasco said it best “ you should shut your mouth…there aren’t very many jobs out there,” and with first term mistakes, it doesn’t look good for you.
It also looks like you’ve made many other “friends” at Art Center. If I got this impression of you with limited interaction with you I wonder how your classmates feel.
You never had the balls to confront me. You’re all talk Brad.
I ran into to Velasco on Tuesday, we got into a discussion about the senior class and you were brought up. He made a comment to effect of: “even the Korean cracker boxes look better than your VW.” I don’t think I can add more to that comment.
My early posts still stand.
I think this is gone on long enough. The bottom line is Brad went far with his words and he got called out. I was shocked to read such a comment coming from one of our students. Talk is cheap and putting fellow students down was wrong. Art Center is a great school with a lot of talent but taking cheap shots is not professional. I will personally seek out the proper people to end this discussion.
John Puerner
Chairman, Art Center College of Design Board of Trustees
John, I think the best course of action would be to find who is responsible for letting Brad fall through the cracks at Art Center. If one student fell though, chances are others did too. We should nip this in the bud before the problem exacerbates further.
Richard Koshalek
President, Art Center College of Design
Richard, we’re the ones responsible for letting Brad fall through the cracks. At first it was funny to watch Brad light up when we told him his work was great, and after a while the joke lost its charm and now everyone is going to pay for our poor judgment.
As it turns out, the joke was on us.
You American are all the same. Dick just mentioned a few bits of wisdom from Confucius. ‘One who steal design, become great designer.’
Kong are you sure you’re translating the proverb correctly? My Asian girlfriend says it should be…he who drags his feet the loudest, steals the best designs.
Regarding Brad Arnold’s post #30
“I just think pf has to be considered if you’re applying to design schools.”
whoa whoa whoa. Brad, you did not say that in post #11. You said, “their program is producing more advanced work.” Which, if I put your views into an equation is, pforzheim > art center or pforzheim is greater then art center. Thus giving all your classmates the finger. *News flash: Your friends at art center are not your friends anymore. (They hate you)
Doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist to figure this out. Cheers
It seems like the dragging of feet at Art Center has become an acute problem now that Eric and Kong have revealed the meaning of the ancient Chinese proverb.
What’s the real difference between…
All the recent student council meetings, blogs, websites, petitions, etc. where everyone complaints and rants about how terrible ACCD is in terms of student quality, the level of work produced, letting in “4’s”, transparency in the system, and sustainability etc. and the list goes on.
and…
Someone saying that another school is producing more advanced work than ACCD.
Not that big a difference. So relax kids, it can’t always be perfect. And by the way; many of you really should work out your racism issues. You can’t be that great of a designer anywhere if you’re ignorant.
Brad that was perhaps one of the most cavalier statements to say. It also shows a complete and utter lack of observational skills.
How can you be a great designer if you don’t observe and criticize your environment?
I’m sure you would wish us to shut our mouth and follow the status quo… Isn’t that how WWII was started? If you would look at the dates of each corresponding post, the post predates the Nathan Cook uprising.
It be stated many ways…Brad was called out. He said something stupid and now is enjoying the consequences of his actions. That’s what happens when you give the finger to everyone in the educational institution you attend.
Brad who are you to say this shit?
to brad arnold…
With respect to the meetings, blogs, etc. It seems like this is just adding to the fire. Anyone that came from Art Center doesn’t want to hear that from a student. These posts sound like people from that petition. I know Art Center is the best place for Transportation Design because thats what I hear from the grape vine. Don’t get me wrong, Pforzheim is a great school too, but Art Center is on top!
When you said Pforzheim is producing advanced work back in February, I was reluctant in responding to your post. I don’t have any experience yet, but from what I’ve seen, Art Center is still doing the best work. Between the Acura and NASA projects, I was impressed with what was created. As I told you, I would consider Pforzheim IF I wasn’t accepted into Art Center.
Nevertheless, I do hope to meet you when I get out to cali away from my cold home in Montreal! email me sometime- sem0807@hotmail.com

this is one the most geekiest pissing contests ive read online about two guys bitching back and forth about who designs cars better (which doesnt matter since they will never make the light of day as a real life car anyways) but has grown into one of the most funniest blogs i look forward to reading in the morning, but I do have to say Paul the bald model shop guy awesome come backs and great points to keep pushing Brad Arnold further down his own rabbit hole he has made for himself.
i am alum from accd and i used to give many a tours at the school while being on work study since i like the rest of the student body was on borrowed money from corrupt lenders. at the end of every tour i would always get asked the same question, “Is ArtCenter the place for me and/or our child”, and all i could answer is, “Well I dont know, you would have to come to the school and experience it as a student to see if its for you or not, there are 49 other top schools in the country to go to if this isnt the place for you.” With that said, brad, if artcenter is such a crappy place for you, and you have been their for such a long time maybe it wasn’t the place for you, maybe you should, after leaving artcenter you should apply to Pforzheim and try their program out. Come on whats another 100k to spend seems like youve pissed 100k this time around on your education anyways. Its not what the school gives to you, its what and how you apply yourself while being their, reguardless of what institution it is. its too bad someone didnt take you aside early on at artcenter to say “Brad, its such a shame people perceive you as being arrogant, its going to limit your capabilites in life down the road.”
Now yes i paid too much to go to school, but when asked if i had the opportunity to do it all over again would i?, and i can only answer yes. i hate to break your little bubble brad that you live in obviously but the real world is a nasty place full of things that dont work right. (its ok ill wait for you to get a tissue so you wipe your tears) isnt the job of a designer reguardless designing cars to solve problems. seems to me you had a problem and just couldnt figure out how to solve it, but youve made yourself pretty famous now through this blog and it has resinated through the halls of that black box tjat sits quietly on the hill, quite possibly you may have made yourself even infamous by now, earlier i mentioned “capabilities”, if miles, an employee of accd calls you out on your “talentless” crap, youve seriously screwed the pooch haha. but hey your about to graduate right so go down to a few local fast food resturaunts, im sure your education and capabilites to get a position as a manager at one of them, which should give you plenty of time to keep working on your sketches, because yes ive seen your drawings and even stevie wonder said they are crap and hes blind!
side notes
jabba: i need to hire you to work for my studio i deal with factories in the asia and you seem to speak the language quite well.
about scuffing feet and sharing work, its fine let me scuff away since you hear them coming into class late and they arent working hard enough to be unique anyways, its like in high school where you would just copy someone else’s homework. your not learning anything except your making yourself a clone and i can hire your for 20k a year with fantastic health benefits at my studio.
lastly, theirs no need to bring that innocent woman who works at the cashier window, its not her fault she can mistake a stack of money for a bowl of salad
I was searching for information about \’What Colleges Can I Attend To Be An Interior Designer\’, and this your page (\’\') was in search results. Not sure why it appeared, but your site is still interesting to read :)

You have to look at this stuff like your looking at one of those 3D art posters…. Wayyy out of focus.
